Bischof
The alpine pasture from the farm
The Bischofalm is a 12-hectare area with plenty of space at an altitude of 1600 meters, where time seems to slow down. A place of perfect tranquility, where nature itself reigns supreme.
But of course, this alpine pasture belongs to a farm in the valley – the Bischof farm in Bad St. Leonhard. There, everything – animals, timber, crops, and people – is equally part of a regenerative agriculture, and thus this is not only cultivated but has been lived for generations.
Haflinger
Ride.
Free as the mountain wind
Haflinger horses are constant companions on Bischofalm in the summer. They too spend their summer up here on the alpine pasture. Once a week, they are taken out for a longer ride as part of the "Alpine Summer Experience" at Klippitztörl.
Michael also enjoys going on individual hikes with his Haflinger horses - simply register and you can feel as free as the mountain wind.

Cows.
The bosses on the alpine pasture.
The cows, of course, also spend the summer on the alpine pasture. Mother cow husbandry has been practiced at Bischof for generations. Therefore, most of the cows have their calves with them.
And as is often the case with children, they are still sometimes a little afraid and need to be protected. Respect is paramount here.
Mare's milk.
Superfood from the alpine pastures.
Michael's father had already acquired extensive knowledge about mare's milk and its positive effects on the body and our health. It is now a particularly valuable raw material in the production of cosmetics.
The bishop still relies on the white gold of his mares and sells them to sustainable buyers.

The Bischofs own products
Beef salami, horse salami, mare's milk, and of course, homemade schnapps. Natural products still made by the Bischof himself and delivered free of charge to his alpine pasture.
Of course, the two boys here only have water in their glasses - but their parents and grandparents are happy to receive a shot of juniper, larch, spice or nut schnapps.
